waistcoats (with pics) - and long waist

I bought a grey waistcoat that everyone was urging me to get, but I am still not completely convinced.
Here are some more pics - one with the belt and one without (this was the best I could do, I know the lighting still leaves something to be desired)

I wouldn't necessarily wear it with that top - the graphic tees are all in the wash.

My question is that the belt doesn't hit at the right point on my waist - it get me on my rib cage, about an inch above my waist. It also flares out from that point.
This happens to me ALL the time with my long torso. The belt goes through a thing in the back, so I don't think I can just wear it lower. Also the belt goes over the pockets - is that a little weird?

Keep? or Not?

It looks great, please keep! I like it both with and without the belt, can't decide.

I think it looks good, but if you don't love it and have to try too hard to make it work, you should return it. Could you remove the belt and the belt loops, if that bothers you?

I can't really see the difference, but I really like how it fits you. You could move the belt loop, but if that is too much of a hassle I think it looks good without a belt.

I love the vest on you Anne, keep for sure!! I am not long waised(Wish) but the proportions look right!! forget the belt if it's a hassle, I can't tell wear it is:)

Great fit but, like the others, I can't see much difference with or without the belt.
Keep and try with the graphic tees and girly blouses.

Anne I can't really see the belted vs non belted difference much, but the overall fit looks great!! If you remove the belt from the loops and wear it where it feels more comfortable would it stay in place by itself?
