I love PR, and I have flown in and out of San Juan many times. DH and I went there several times B.O. (before offspring). Your vacation sounds completely heavenly being all back to nature and unplugged like that! That is my kind of trip, no rushing around "doing" but just relaxing and "being".
We took our (almost both) adult children skiing in January, and it turned out to be very expensive. They're bigger, they eat more, require their own room, and still fight in the car! You're right. We should leave them at home.
