As some of you may already know Jane and I met in London yesterday .Before I get down to the important business of reviewing some of the clothes I must give Huge credit to Jane.Not only did she intiate and arrange this outing but she was kindness it's self.She spent the whole day putting me first and making sure that I was getting the most out of the day,she is a truly lovely lady and it was an honour to meet her.
The Boden shop ,as you can imagine is very nicely appointed.They
even had what looked like day beds in the changing rooms so if all that shopping was getting too much you could have a little lie down!
Jane and I would make agreat team as Boden reviewers as we covered the range from smart/formal(Jane)to casual wear(me).I tried on the Holywell coat in post box red.This is a gorgeous coat.Fitted well on the shoulders more roomy around the middle.l wouldn't describe it as a cocoon but it's headed that way.Jane told me that she already has it in the red and I can see why,the colour is lovely,a bright orangey red and the fabric beautifully soft with a lovely spotty lining.
I also tried on the Eastbourne coat which comes in3 different patterns.l m Inthe red pink check.Now this was a seriously sharp coat tailoring wise.Much slimmer fitting in the body but true to size.If I was buying a coat this would have been the one.My only reservation was that it did feel a little itchy around the neck and sleeves and wasn't as soft as the Holywell.
I have dresses and a jumper to show you but as this is turning into an epic post already I think I will do a separate post for them.
