I've had my eye on this Eileen Fisher dress for a while now. I find the full price kind of absurd, and I'm frankly not really excited about the sale price either, but it's more tolerable. I have a cheap, old navy dress that is cut very similarly, that I really like. It's versatile, I can wear it as a dress, tunic or shirt. On the one I already have the dress narrows at the hemline, so it can almost function like a banded bottom top if I pull it up to my hips. This dress is currently $133 on sale.
Then today I stumbled across this etsy site. It's kind of a too good to be true situation. The clothes are made to order based on your measurements and the reviews are pretty outstanding. I love the drape and shape of the dress, but it wouldn't be as versatile. I'd probably wear it over skinny jeans sometimes, but other than that it would just be a dress that's a dress. I'm not certain the sleeves would allow for most toppers to work. This dress is $73, and made of a tencel cotton blend knit.
The first dress is much more of a known quantity. I know the brand, have an idea of the fit and all that. But the second dress is so lovely!
And yes, I'm technically on a shopping freeze, but it's just for fun, nobody dies if I break it.
