For Sal’s virtual party, I dressed for a Spring cocktail party. Spring because it’s Spring here. A cocktail party because I don’t have anything formal enough for a black tie event.
I wanted to try styling my velvet flares for warmer weather. I was inspired by the Reiss velvet jumpsuit in pic 1.
The rib top I am wearing is a bit of a compromise. It’s the only top I have that matches the flares enough for a jumpsuit look. A teal silk blouse would be dressier (clearly a wardrobe hole). But, in my real life, I think this combination could work for a Christmas drinks type event. We are not very formal here.
If it turned cool I would wear my gold jacket. You can’t really see them, but my platform sandals are a dark metallic too.
I am running late because I hope to get a hair cut and colour before I arrive. And maybe even a fake tan. I am so pale!
