I don't think it's a question of age, Jennell, more one of shape, and whether you prefer slouch or structure in your clothes.
I bought them and I'm 56. I was hoping they would do for me (5'8 with a basic rectangular shape), but they didn't. While they flattered my shape, I didn't like the excess fabric, the drape and the elastic waist. Ick. I felt exactly like I was wearing pyjamas, and knew that no matter how I styled them, I would always feel like was wearing PJs. I knew they'd just sit in my closet. So back they went. That may not be a consideration for you. I just tend to like more structure to my clothes, especially on the bottom half!
I'm not familiar with the Hannah sandals, but I think because the tile print reads so strongly dark, that I'd go with a much lighter top or a colored top.
