Browsing through old posts, I have just stumbled upon this one:

And I have seen that most amazing, incredibly beautiful Victoriana wool jacket Angie is wearing.

I think this jacket is possibly the most awesome piece I have ever seen!

What else can I say?

I love the style, and this wonderful jacket reminds me somewhat of a jeans jacket I have that was love at first sight, I have had it for 10 years or so, and I'm hoping it will still last a few more ...

I love Victorian-inspired items. I am looking for some Victorian booties. I may have to wait until they come back into fashion. They've been out of style for some time now, so I'm hoping they'll be back in style soon!

Well I love this entire outfit. Gigi I also love the pearl gray velvet jacket you linked.

The only difficulty I have with these kind of jackets sometimes is how to mix them with more modern cuts. They can look great with skirts though, and good with some pants, especially jodhpur-y ones.

Yes, rabbit, it can be a challenge. I'll bet you would be good at it, though...you have such a talent for mixing items of different types! You are right on the money about pairing these types of jackets with skirts—that is how I wear mine, with a simple black pencil skirt or a simple brown straight-cut midi. I think the way the model wears it, with skinny black pants, works well too.

I went nuts when I saw that jacket on Angie (ok ok I didn't go nuts, but you know...). I love EVERYTHING about it and would love one of my own too! I'm still searching for the right one...

I have a softspot for Victorian/Edwardian-inspired styles. Lately, though, I've been wearing them less and more of the bold graphic prints.

Gigi, I too like that grey jacket, really nice.

Rabbit, maybe I am too optimistic, but I think these jackets could go well with many things. My jean jacket that is (loosely) this style seems to go with everything ... I have worn it lots.

Niefern, maybe my eye needs to adjust! I actually haven't tried too hard to pair the jacket with other stuff in my wardrobe; I just used the obvious things. I'll have to try some new combos next time I play in my closet. :^)
