Vest/waistcoat and body type

Patience

Tanya has inspired me on the whole vest/waistcoat look. So I'm wondering which kind of style I should go for as a rectangle.

I love that look on Tanya too. As a fellow rectangle, I suspect the second vest would break up the straight lines the best. It's interesting how it's paired with a voluminous sleeveless top. It looks like it could be worn with shirts and turtle necks too. I've got my eye out for one that will button at the natural waist since the cropped jackets buttoned there work for me.

How the other two look will depend on whether or not they are fitted at the waist in real life. The ardenb vest looks like it creates curves on the model, but might not really be as fitted. The first vest looks comfy but boxy.

Patience, maybe I can take photos for you this week if you find some vests you like. I have found that looking at a photo of myself helps me decide what looks best - even more so than a mirror.

Patience, I kind of like the second one best, but it's followed very closely by the last one. I think you'd have to try the Arden B one on, but I can see you sporting that look very well.

The second one gives the most shape. I like the third one too, but it might not give you the definition you need. I'm not a huge fan of the first though. it looks too long. I think vests look best when they're cropped.

I like them all. The moods are different. I had this one on a petite client with a strong shoulder line a few weeks ago and we were both surprised at how fantastic it looked.
