I've had to pass on many pairs of uncomfortable shoes this year - and might add to the pile - (DFS Seattle was very happy with them though, which softens the blow).

My feet are growing fussier and shrinking. Can't do heels over 2 inches unless I sit. I have narrow ankles, and there is NO padding on my low volume feet.

I walk a lot. Shop a lot. Move a lot - and fast. I can't wear sneakers all day because of my line of work and dressy outfit preferences. I NEED comfy dressy shoes that go the distance, and look fab to my eye. And I will NOT compromise on comfort.

Slowly but surely, I'm getting there.

  • I've waited 4 years to find gold sandal booties with a "gladiator vibe" that fit my low volume feet (I LOVE gladiators). Everything up till now is too wide and chunky. I found the Bella Vita Fonda's in a US6.5 NARROW size, which fit me feet perfectly. VERY comfy. Cushioning footbed and soft. Not too bulky around the ankle either. A nice soft gold. Gorgeous disco buckle.
  • Dressy white pumps are a necessary statement item for my style. Found these Modern Retro darlings with a very low block heel. Very comfortable and a fabulous fit in a regular size US6.5. The top strap is GENUIS since it keeps the slingback from slipping. They couldn't be more perfect. I am in love with their pretty and dainty sensibility.

VERY HAPPY with my new Spring and Summer heels. All things come to those who wait. Between these and the new flat loafers - I am SORTED.

p.s. The big toenails that tore are doing well too. Growing out and strengthening. Will polish in April.
