Veronica Slouch in Bronze?

Sorry to post and run but I'm wondering if anyone has seen these in person? Do they look splotchy IRL? Nordstrom describes them as brown with bronze and the Frye website lists them as black with bronze. Here's the link:

I guess I would like to know if they would make a good replacement for my favorite dark brown/black boots which have a developed a tear in the pleather. These would be a replacement and an upgrade : )

ETA: The second picture shows the ones that need replacing. Do you think they are similar enough?

I've coveted those boots for a long time--haven't seen them in person in this color, but it's a fantastic boot and that color is gorgeous.

@San: I guess they do look similar : ) I edited to add that the second photo shows the boots I want to replace. I haven't found anything else that comes close.
@AndreaB: They are awesome aren't they. I'm sorely tempted.

I tried those on last year, in a great dark brown color, and loved them. I was very tempted, but I think I had other needs at the time. They are fantastic boots and will look great on you, with your style. I vote get!

@Angie: Do they look mottled? I was worried that the finish might look funky IRL?
@Tara: I am torn between the bronze and the dark brown. I really want a brown that looks slightly black. I find that color to be the most versatile for me. I have enough black boots but often want a boot that isn't quite as harsh as black--if that makes any sense at all.

Haven't seen them in real life, but I say go for it! The Veronica slouch is a great boot and that finish looks really cool.

No, mine don't slouch in a scrunchy kind of way, but they have softened up a bit. The leather is not soft and buttery like the Rory scrunch; it's more like an Engineer boot but lighter in weight--but I'm guessing the leather will be different depending on the color.

When I get a chance, I'll take a pic of mine as they are now and find an older pic to compare. I think I've had them for almost 3 years.

Thanks, Cathy. You answered my question already : ) I don't mind softened up--I just don't want them sagging. I wish my local Nordie's had them in store--I really wanted to compare the Bronze with the Dark Brown Calf Shine. It's so hard to tell from the on-line pics.

OOOh, the bronze look amaaaazing in the pic. If they look the same IRL, then those have my vote, hands down.

Hmm. On my monitor it's hard to get the differentiation. I might like the dark brown calf a shade more, but I'm also a fan of bronze (I really like warm shades of brown, chestnut, etc, so am perhaps biased). I'm sure you'll like them, though!

thought: which finish is closer to your hair color?

Thanks, Rae. I really like them in the picture too--just not so sure about what they look like IRL. I'm worried they might look splotchy. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and order them if I want to see what they really look like! I guess I can't expect my local Nordies to stock everything--lol!

Thanks, Mochi! I think the bronze might be closer to my hair color with highlights. I think the brown is delish but might have too much red (in terms of what I'm trying to replace.)

Not to complicate things, but I have the brown calf shine veronicas and I would call the finish on them almost splotchy, especially on the shaft. Have you seen the brown ones in real life? The mottled look doesn't bother me, but if it's a sore spot for you maybe you should just order them both with plans to return.

I still haven't figured out how to post a photo w/o going through the iphone app. Here's a link to a picture of my boots. This is with flash so you can see the "splotchiness". On my screen the color is reading pretty true to life. Maybe a touch on the light side due to the bright light.
