Verdict on Gucci Flora Bag? Help!

I bought this bag just under a month ago at DSW for @$130 (inc. tax). When Gucci came out with this pattern I really, really loved it. It was Valentine's Day and my weekend hadn't quite gone as expected so I was thrilled to see this print in something somewhat affordable.

For some reason, now that I have it home I'm just not sure whether to keep it or not. I have a few days before I must return it. I haven't worn it yet but the weather hasn't been right for it. It's a nice size for when I don't need a big purse and I think it hits my body at a good place, but for some reason I'm a bit stumped by what to wear it with. With all those colors, you'd think it would be easy!

Well, I like it but I'm wondering what your purse wardrobe is like? do you have a good basic purse? I would see this going with a variety of things - a black dress with a cargo/ military inspired jacket atop and then this purse would make a cute contradiction.

*But* to me, if you do not have a good basic purse you might get more use out of a basic (such as black, cognac, nude, bone, etc) first.

What do you think? Do you have other purses?

LOL...I'm picturing my mother thinking about how many purses I have at the moment... a VERY good question. The response is really, I probably have too many. I like your idea there - I think that is the kind of contrast I would need for it to look intentional instead of just thrown on. Thank you!

I also like it with the denim looks this season. I could see it with a denim shirt atop skinny jeans, perhaps cinched with a sort of worn brown belt and some clog inspired sandals. I guess you'd just have to experiment.

But for that price it is true you could really get a nice leather purse too...decisions decisions. I'm in the same boat (as you know) about the BR leather purse. Too many purses, so little time

Rosie...Super Cute!!! Wouldn't that look soo pretty with solids, The current denim shirt and white jeans, solid black , a red jacket, or with a yellow scarf...ok ...I vote keep , seems vesratile to me:)

I'll admit it's not my cup of tea. But i can see it working with a whole host of plain/ denim outfits x

I have a skirt in a very similar fabric, five years old and not Gucci, it comes out to play every summer but I only ever wear it on one of those rare days in Britain with a pure blue sky.

As I love my skirt I vote keep.

I vote keep. Its fun and if you have basic bags you will get a lot of use out of it.

I had a bag like that (nothing quite so stylish though) and used it all the time every summer until the (non-leather) handles wore out and the fabric was too dirty to scrub up...

Happy days. I'm very envious...

I luv the print! If I had that bag, I would wear my light blue oxford button down, white jeans and ballet flats. I could also see it with a solid shirtdress.
If the money won't be missed, then I say KEEP!

It screams Spring (or Summer). I could see it with polkadots, stripes or a check of any type. I'd wear it with navy or green.

Keep it! It is a great size and shape and once the weather perks up you will use it ALL THE TIME!
