Now that I’m back in the world of shoes, socks, and boots, I’ve noticed velvet socks are a thing. I’ve seen them on several websites, but haven’t seen anyone wear them irl.

This time of year, I see the velvet and the glitter and the sparkle and the soft fake fur, and my hand just starts opening and closing in a tick. I want. But that isn’t my lifestyle, nor is it my budget. Prices on these socks are steep, for socks, but 13.50€ a pair, 5 for 30 is a lot cheaper than the dresses, blazers, k camis out there. Having just a little bit of velvet peeking out somewhere might be a way to scratch that itch. I haven’t decided yet if they’re covered by the cold weather gear exceptions clause in my no-shop-vember.
