VC Tube skirt - need some info

The VC Tube skirt - little info requested since I am thinking i want the black (not sure of the other color for the Buy 2 special) but they only have my size at one Nordstrom's locally and was going in another direction today.
Is the material heavy enough to wear without a slip? I tried on a different tube skirt (at Target) to see if I liked the style but the material was thin enough that I would need a slip or something under it. I don't want to have to wear one when it's warm.

One way or another I will end up at last days of NAS> been holding out but nervous about starting new dress code at work this week and not having my bases covered.

yes heavy enough t wear without a slip I had no panty lines showing but I always wear a light spanx underneath and did not show. Its not a heavy weight material just has a not clingy enough vibe that no VPL.

Thank you Sona - exactly what I needed to know! I just your beautiful cobalt skirt WIW but have to run out of house (kids stuff to do before I can shop...and now I will change direction I am heading) and didn't comment. I love how you played with color in your outfit pairing.

Yep, I've never had a customer who wanted a slip with it. I think you are good to go! Check to see if they are still 2 for $79!

Christieanne, exactly what Sona said. The skirts are double ply but really light weight. They are genius. One of the ones that I bought has the inner layer in black and then the outer layer in the polka dots. My stripe one is just doubled. I bought two and I am thinking of getting more. They are so comfy and can be dressed up or down and easy, peasy care AND no wrinkling. I am in heaven.

I sized up because I have saddle bags and I don't wear Spanx or anything.

Looks like yer sorted, but wanted to confirm what others have said; it's thick AND double ply, so there's no need for any layer under it.

Agreed- no slip needed.
I'm 5'6" but ended up buying the petite version and they're a nice, flattering, below the knee length.

I tried on the ones at Target and bought the ones at Nordstroms. Absolutely no comparison. The Nordstrom ones are of definitely better quality and miles more flattering.

Maybe my problem was needing to size up because I got two. A black one and a red one. The black wasn't as bad but the red showed every single little bump and panty line. I sent them both back. Maybe I will try the black a size larger when I ever get to a store. I wasn't a fan of the raw un-hemmed bottom either.

You've probably gone already, but I've gone slip-less with both of mine, including the black/white stripe.

Don't wear a slip with mine. In fact, I can't -- a slip gets all tangled and balled up and twisted. I would actually like to be able to wear one to extend the seasonal life of the skirt in my climate, but I have accepted these are summer skirts for me, and they are still worth every penny. I have two and have worn both an enormous amount this summer. There is not a week where I don't wear each more than once!

Tracina, I had two issues with my regular size. You could see my underwear lines and my saddle bags were so awful that they could use them to hold back water during floods. And unlike Sona, I just want or have to wear shapewear ( I am a SHM ). Mine also crawled up a bit when I sat down for a while.

Sizing up one size took care of all of that. I may have to have the waist taken in a bit.
