VC ruched tube midi skirt - another fit question

I have another fit question about this skirt. It was not available in petite on the Bay website so I ordered in regular length. I feel it is too long on me. It comes all the way above my navel which will make any kind of semi tucking impossible. What do you all think? Thanks so much for looking.

Mona mine fits the same way, with the high rise (I also didn't try the petite, though perhaps I should've). I plan to wear mine with cropped tops, fully tucking sweaters/tops, or semi-tucking only with my drapiest tops.

Aida, I won't be wearing this skirt with fully tucked tops/sweaters as it looks too va-va-voom from the side. Here is a picture from side, GULP!
I hope to pair it with fluid tops that are looser fitting and cover at least half my bum.
Also, I think half tucking looks better with low waisted skirts and pants, No?

Mine fits that way and I got the SP. I kind of scrunch the entire skirt to make it shorter. And I have yet to do any kind of tuck - I've only worn with fluid tops to disguise the midriff....

Hmmm..Una that is an idea. I will try scrunching the skirt from top and see if tops can be semi tucked like that.

I know that fit, I look like that too ^^ I sized up in the skirt so the vavoom factor was a bit less, heh. Otherwise I wouldn't be fully tucking, either. Hi-low tops are another good option.

It looks really great to me. Do they have petite? Do you want to try it for comparison?

I have the non-ruched versions and they also come up high on the waist. Because they're knit, I have sometimes been able to do a sort of FAUX semi-tuck with knit tops that meant I could place the "waistline" wherever I wanted. It hung on surprisingly well. Basically, I just folded the front of the tee under to where I wanted it and artfully (haha) draped the rest on the sides and left the back longer.

I've tucked really voluminous silk tops, too, and then bloused them over so again, you couldn't see exactly where the waist was.

Mostly I wear with some kind of untucked top, though.
