After all the fun posts on stylish neckerchiefs, I realized a "wardrobe hole" is for plain, cotton, sun protective gear-type neckerchief, as I may be spending more time outside this summer.
Probably white, for light reflection, but could be colored, but need ease of laundering/no bleeding, big enough but not too big, thin and soft like fine cotton lawn, neckerchief for sun protection while gardening, especially. I do wear sunscreen but still worry about neck and gap in shirt even with my long-sleeved collared shirt, hate to reapply, etc. I was thinking if it were cotton and very loosely tied or wrapped and it could be removed easily when I moved from sunny area to shade, available in multiples as I'm sure it should be fresh each day!
I think the standard men's hanky is not quite big enough but perhaps there are oversized ones?
So not a fashion statement, but functional and comfortable.
Ideas and experiences appreciated!
