Username confusion

My username seems to have changed without my intervention, and what I type in to log on is not what appears on the forum. What is going on? Anyone know?

When i originally signed up my forum name was loulou. When the site was updated we have the option to change our forum name which i did to louise however to log on i still need to use loulou. However if you say you haven't changed it... sorry pointless ramble!!! hopefully Greg will chime in with his technical prowess x

Tanya, try this.
Click the "profile pages" link on the Profile Tab at the top.
Then click the small "edit" link next to, "Personal Information".
Change the "*Name" field to what you want your display name to be.
Click "Save Changes" then look at your posts in the forum and see if your display name is now what you want it to be.

I had the same problem a while back when I mistook that field to be "Real Name", when I believe it is actually "Display Name"

I think Louise is on the right track. There is a username that you use to log in, and a friendly name that appears alongside your posts and comments.

If you go to your profile page and edit your personal information, then you will be able to change your friendly name to anything you like, including your login name if that's what you'd prefer.

There is a bug where the first time you log in the system shows your login name instead of the friendly name, and that may account for the impression that your username changed without your intervention.
