ETA: Urgent Advice Much Appreciated - for wedding garb

Suddenly second guessing my choice for an afternoon wedding today.

Was planning on wearing #1-2, but thinking #3 might not be so somber:

If I stick with #1, are the shoes in #4 really any better?

Thank you for any and all advice/suggestions,etc.

P.S. I will be just fine for the formallity level either way!

I think all options work, but agree #3 is a bit lighter and better suited to the season.

All look great but if it is super hot where you are, #3 might be fresher.

With all the black polka dots, you won't be mistaken for the bride if you go with #3.

I liked #1 when I saw it, but #3 got an immediate smile response, for whatever that's worth. It has a nice cheerful feel to it and looks great on you.

Thank you, ladies, so much -- I think I started having doubts because I attended a funeral yesterday where the black dress would have been extremely appropriate. So, when I looked at it with today's 'wedding eyes', it seemed off. . .

Good point, sarah, as today is especially gloomy all on its own

I'm probably too late, here, but I like both outfits. I'd probably lean toward #3, only because it looks summery! But really, you can't go wrong with either.

Love both, but #3 is fabulous! Hope the weather is clearing where you are- it's blue skies, cooler temps (76) and breezy in the Twin Cities

Thank you all for your wisdom and input. I'm SO glad you steered me toward the white, lighter dress! The church was was NOT air conditioned, and after many weeks of 90-100 degress it was pretty sweltering inside. (Yet, somehow the beautiful bride and handsome groom didn't even look wilted in their receiving line!)

So, DD and me and, of course, hubby framed the car and left out our shoes

P.S. Notice the plaid sport shirt and cargo shorts of other wedding guests in the background. I guess I could have worn pretty much ANYTHING that was clean!

Oh my goodness, you have a party of cute polka-dotted dresses in your closet!

All choices were good, but #3 was my particular favorite and I'm happy to see that was what you ultimately chose. Very cheerful!

Great choice! You look great in the dress and the clutch is perfect. I know what you mean about wedding attire. I've been to evening receptions where guests are in jeans and boots. We are in Texas but come on, people!
