I posted about this on my “Making the Cut” TV show thread. This is by designer Gary Graham who is a contestant on the show. It’s an Amazon Prime series and for this challenge the designers had to create outfits out of denim for Levi’s. They had to design an avant Garde and an accessible look, and the winning design is made available on Amazon. I loved this piece the moment it went down the runway and hoped it would win so I could buy it!
It arrived last night, so I got to give it a little try on this morning — I just popped it in with black Athleta pants, boots, and I tried a short sleeve and long sleeve tee underneath. It’s not conventionally flattering but I love it! I normally am not a big fan of a 3/4 sleeve but I’m this case I think it really works to temper some of the volume.
As is typical of pieces that can be worn multiple ways, I prefer it one way over the other, but I don’t dislike any of the options. I think the final cut of it ended up a bit different from the stock photos because they show sleeves that are full length, and a less voluminous look. I got the smaller of the two available sizes.
I know it may not be everyone’s cuppa, but I really dig it and can’t wait for cooler weather so I can wear it. So, not a K/R but I wanted to share! LOL I took way too many photos just trying to get a sense of how it styles and drapes.
