Among the young women students and physicians interviewing for residencies and fellowships, tailored pantsuits in a dark color have way outnumbered the skirt suits--hordes of dark suits (men and women) trouping through the halls during interview season. The women wear a variety of shoes, often pumps and higher than I would wear but in general, attention is paid to being walkable, as above, not just for comfort but to have a "comfortable-appearing" manner of walking in the group as you go from place to place. Variation in tops, usuallly solid, either button shirt, blouse, shell or similar, some prints, conservative colors but flattering colors.
