Update on the pale blue motor search

I posted recently that I was looking for a pale blue pleather motor and someone suggested this one from Asos. (sorry, no links because I am on my phone and ylf is very slow on it)
I am a bit disappointed in the colour which tilts a bit lilac and is more greyed than I would like.
Also, I was looking for a quite fitted jacket like the black one, and both these (sizes uk8 and 10) seem big. DD thinks I should size down further.
Sorry for the ghastly facial expressions-they were the best of a bad lot!
Anyway, would love to hear your opinions

Yeah unfortunately too big, is there a smaller size available?

It’s a smidgen big. I saw a lovely light blue pleather jacket by Only, at Myer on the weekend. I’ll try to link it....
Ok here it is. I tried a 26 which seemed to fit.... you appear to be a similar size to me I think. However online the sizes are written as xs-xl so that’s a little confusing.

I agree that the colour looks great in the photos. However in real life I get the lilac and the smokiness that worries me.

Anyway, as you've all agreed - too big. So I'll send back tomorrow and keep looking.

Jussie, I should be able to try the jacket at Myer on - thanks!! I find it hard to believe that we would be similar sizes as you seem tiny to me, but maybe, since it is the top half!

I think my original thread had a few other suggestions too, so I'll look back at it as well.

Your black jacket fits perfectly and this is how this jacket should fit too. The arms in particular are just way too big. I do like the jacket that Jussi has linked to - I would give that one a try.

It is funny, I love my black moto and have been thinking a light blue moto may be a great addition for spring - I think it must be Angie's stunning blue bag and scarf that has me light blue obsessed at the moment!

Bijou, I have been light blue obsessed for a while, but it's ramping up! Angie is helping! The back moto was from Jay Jays. I am not sure how much longer it will last, alas, as it's started cracking at the wrists. My third black moto since 2004, but I may not replace this one

The black one looks perfect, but the blue is just too big. If the color bothers you, look for a different one, cause you wont feel better about it later in my experience. Oftentimes colors look more cool toned and muted in different light, unfortunately:(

Zara had baby blue moros about 3-4 yrs ago. May be at poshmark or eBay.

Ok... today I purchased the Myer jacket, but in the ‘pure cashmere’ colour which I would call very light taupe. It’s a lovely piece considering the price, very soft pu. I tried the blue, but it didn’t flatter my complexion as well as I had hoped, although it’s a gorgeous colour in itself. They also had it in a very dirty pink, a forest green and black. It looks equally good open, half zipped, or full straightjacket style zipped up. It does have room in it for some bustiness too.

I agree that the black fits you perfectly. Keep searching! I'm hoping you'll come across a blue one that's just perfect.

I don't think the blue moto is a bad fit at all. It's fluid, and a good look with pants. Flared skirts look better with very fitted motos, which is why the black looks better here.

Anne, this may not work for you at all, but have you tried junior's lines? I have three moto jackets and all three are juniors' sizes. Juniors' sizing provides its own challenges (narrower shoulders and arms, and overall smaller sizing), but they also tend to be more fitted and cropped in length. The two in finds work very well with full skirts.
