Although the dr. doesn't like to discuss pathology over the phone, I could not wait until my follow-up appointment on Monday, so I called. They returned my call and pathology indicates there is no malignancy - NO CANCER. I am so relieved I cannot even express it in words. I will be able to keep my ovaries and will likely NOT need any further surgery.

Pathology did indicate that there was some inflammation consistent with endometriosis, but from my understanding, when endometriosis is asymptomatic, there is no need for further treatment. In reality, I've never had any indication of endometriosis in the past, nor did I ever have any fertility issues or unusual periods (until the bleeding that led to this ordeal), so I am going to hope that this will remain asymtomatic until I reach a natural menopause.

Anyway, I thank you so much for all the support you have extended. I have my follow-up appointment on Monday, and I will discuss the exact findings with him then. But in the meantime, it is good news!
