Ok, so my pants came back from the tailor last night and I couldn't wait any longer to try them on. It's early in the morning and I've just jumped out of bed. But I'm trying them on nonetheless!!!
Astrid and Maria, thanks a ton for making me think harder about the pant length. While flares go look absolutely dramatically divine skimming the floor with heels (who doesn't love having long long legs) the way Angie wears them, I had to agree with you guys.
I've shopped for an imaginary lifestyle for way way too long. And while I have more pair of stilettos than I can count on my fingers, I rarely wear them. I have fussy feet and prefer a heel height of 1-1.5inch, if any at all. So I went ahead and hemmed these pants for that heel height. It might not look as dramatic, but Atleast I'll wear them and enjoy them more often. Astrid, you were especially inspiring. Thank you so so much. I do see myself wearing these with pretty pointy toe flats when the weather is dry. A big big hug to you!
Ok, so here are my real pictures. I haven't styled them completely. I just paired them with a drapey top and 1inch heels to see how the proportions look. Please bear in mind that I woke up half hour back and I havent even showered yet, let alone combed my hair or worn makeup. I haven't added jewelry either, this exercise is just to see how the proportion and length works. I'm sorry for all the extra clutter around....I'll sort the house shortly ;p
I feel GREAT in these jeans. I totally feel fab! I've worn skinny jeans for way too long and I am tired of the same old boring look. I am finding out that bootcuts, slim bootcuts and straight jeans feel and look wayyyy better. The happiness factor is really high for these pants!!!
I will wear them over the weekend and style them properly with all accessories and post pictures then. Thanks for looking! And YAY to new pants!!!
