I just thought maybe some of you would like to know what I've been up to for the past few months, since some of you have asked indirectly on a couple of posts I am now in a place where I feel I can start sharing my slow but steady improvements:
- I had to ditch the job at the café after a month and a half for personal reasons. I was able to find another job at a very well-known brand of coffee-shops. I just had to ditch that job as well, this time around because they wanted someone who could stay for a long time (+1 year) and I was honest and admitted that those were not my plans
- I started tutoring Spanish students on a one-to-one basis
- I started interning for a small independent publishing house. Just yesterday I was admitted on board as a part-time publishing assistant, freelance basis. Paid (sort of).
- I have started yet another blog, this time in English, where I write about books, writing and other bookish things. I aim to have it as my professional-yet-personal site.

I feel like things are starting to actually happen. I have finally found a room I both like and can afford, I have become a stronger woman through hardship and my spoken English is improving at a fast rate. My only regret is that my social life is not that good, but I hope I can work on that in the near future. I'm naturally quite an independent person and can be on my own quite a lot (actually enjoy it) but I still need people next to me now and then. Any tips as to how to meet new people in a new city would be very much welcome

I am going to Barcelona tomorrow, and I'll stay for 10 days, which I hope will be lovely and I'll be able to enjoy my people and regain energy for when I come back. I have to still find other jobs because, sadly, I will not be able to cover my expenses with the part-time role, and I know it's going to be hard to find another publishing job (which would be ideal). However, more than ever I feel like I can do this. I just feel it. And it feels really good.
