DH was ruthless with this year's version of the closet cull and surprised me with what he was willing to let go. It was draining on him though, and we had to defer outfit creation to the next day.

We ended up with a bag of trash and 3 bags for donation. 2 bags were winter wear including a monster winter parka (winter fieldwork), an old ski jacket and pants, and a winter leather coat that was uncomfortably heavy to wear. 7 sweaters, and half the golf shirts were dispatched. Without prompting he handed over all but two chino pants. He volunteered that after our trip to NL, he couldn't stand the baggy look and after wearing them the past 2 weeks, never wanted to wear them again!

His dressy (suit) capsule is in good shape and there is variety. ( Ties down to 7 from 28!). His smart casual capsule for summer is good, but winter has a few holes (sweaters, trousers). His gym capsule is complete, but his golf capsule needs a complete overhaul! (He's looking forward to THAT shopping trip!). Shoes are good. Outerwear is good. Accessories are good. He likes cotton mock necks for layering, and his all need replacing. Socks and other u-wear are all good. His palette is heavy on light blue and beige, with grey, black, and Jean supporting colours. There is a bit of purple and chlorophyll green. For some reason that I can't figure out, he doesn't wear (like) navy. Navy trousers in particular become closet orphans. He is interested in shopping for brown and olive items this season.

PS: his fave sports team since forever is the Seattle Seahawks, so 'yes' he has team gear.
