This is a follow up to the recent threads on new photo viewing restrictions and making those restrictions optional.

I just updated YLF profile settings with some new privacy options:

  1. You can choose to only show your photos to active members. This is on by default, so if you want your photos to be visible to everyone then uncheck this setting.
  2. You can allow your photos to be pinned. The default is not to allow pinning. Note that this setting only works if your photos are visible to everyone (i.e. the first setting above is off).
  3. You can choose to only show your profile details (personal info, fashion and style preferences, body type and appearance) to active members. By default your profile details are restricted.

To access the settings, go to your profile page (accessible from the menu when you hover over your name at the top right of the page, or by clicking your profile picture anywhere it appears). The "Privacy" tab is on the right.

Please let me know if you see anything odd when you are using these new settings.

Finally, a point on privacy in general. These new settings offer a little more privacy than before, but please don't view them as airtight. If someone wants to see your photos and profile details, all they have to do is sign up and wait to become an active member. This hurdle will stop a lot of spammers, passers by, and other people up to no good, but if someone really wants to get in, they're going to get in.
