I just replied to your question on Jenava's thread, but will copy it here too:
Just click on the little heart in the top right corner of the item photo (normally it should be in a colour: pink, yellow, green or blue). If you unclick the heart, the colour will be gone and the item will no longer be in your collection.
(Note that it will still be visible on the Finds general page when you scroll there, but as soon as you go to Finds - Mine, the item will no longer be there).
