Uniqlo t-shirt dress - PSA - YouLookFab Forum

Probably most of you buying winter or spring clothes this time of the year. I like to think of a summer on these gloomy days.

Uniqlo has been one of my best sources of casual or active clothes. I looked there last year in hope to find an easy, casual dress to wear to a pool, on our daily walks in the neighborhood, maybe even to a beach. But nothing worked. They just released this one and I jumped on it right away while my size is available. I bought my regular size and it fits slightly oversized but not too big. Well, size wise I could get Small but it would’ve been too tight in the chest area. Cotton jersey looks and feels like a nice quality t-shirt, there are interesting side seams that could be seen in the second photo. If anyone is looking for an easy dress like that, I would definitely recommend.

I'm most impressed by the fact that it has pockets! Are they deep & sturdy enough?

Zaeobi, Sturdy, yes, well to me, regular kind of depth. I would not want pockets to be too big, might be too much extra fabric.

I saw these in the store and was tempted. They came in two lengths - short, and below calf length - possibly maxi length on my shorter YLF sisters! Lots of yummy colours.

I’m with you Irina! Done with winter shopping. Not even interested in a late winter refresh! Hunting summer dresses, ibut would like woven cotton. The dream is sleeveless button down shirt style.

I am well supplied with summer dresses, and almost all of them are from Uniqlo. It is a great source for comfortable, very reasonably priced, all cotton dresses. Love the one you posted and am sitting on my hands.

I have a couple of these, love the pockets. They have lasted a couple of years and still look good. I wear them over light cotton capris for going out, or parachute pants. And they ARE long on the littles, but I prefer that. Had one taken up to calf length.
I have orange, and lime green, get compliments from people on the bright colours.

Interesting the Carmel picture shows a slightly different same that I would have imagined if I had just looked at the pink one, more trapeze shape.

Looks like a great summer dress, I love Uniqlo for basics like this, but your right that if you don’t buy it early more often than not, when you go back the color/size you wanted is gone.

Oh thats a perfect casual tshirt dress for summer and is a great cover up for the pool or beach, plus bonus side pockets, and love the length too.

Thanks Irina! I also love Uniqlo basics, their cotton is usually really nice especially for the price point.
Runcarla, at a different price point I love my woven dress from Power of My People. It's oversized, but the v neck and side slits help add some structure.

Star, I ordered a blue one and orange. Like both colors enough with a slight preference to the orange one. Asked DH and he said orange looks better. It is the dress from a second photo, fit is similar on me in size M but about 5” longer. It is not orange but kind of a light caramel color.

Jules, I like POMP dresses and shirts but anytime I check they are out of my size. Don’t know how to get it!

I have 3 of these from last year and OMG !!!! I absolutely LOVE them. And women would constantly ask where I got them.

Ican’t speak for the quality this year …: but mine washed really well and weren’t see through. And they are really versatile.

( mumbling to self : three is enough , three is enough ….)

BTW : I sized down but I am small chested

@Irina I guess what I meant by 'sturdy' is whether the pockets can hold something somewhat heavy (like a phone) without sagging or swinging about everywhere, lol...

I had a similar dress to this from Uniqlo a few years back - hopefully it becomes a staple for you!
