Uniqlo pop-up open in SF

Another newsy item - Uniqlo will be opening their first west coast store in September, but they now have a temporary pop-up store open in Union Square, San Francisco.

I really loved their stuff when I visited a store on the east coast a few years ago - like H&M but less cheap-feeling in general and I've heard great stuff about the Heat Tech gear. Right now I may be sized out of a lot of their stuff because they have the typical Asian smaller sizing, but I might sneak into an XL... Hmm, a trip to the city to shop might need to be scheduled ASAP.

Uniqlo is my fav. They have essential pieces, t shirts, sweaters etc that are really inexpensive but last a long time. Some of my most used and oldest items are from uniqlo and they still look new. Too bad we don't have a store here.

I ADORE Uniqlo: their goal is to do the basics right, and I have to say that my Uniqlo tees and sweaters have never let me down. Lots and lots of colors, never fade, never pill. I got my first pair of white jeans there too

I ALSO adore Orla Kiely (I have 2 tees from the Uniqlo x Orla Kiely Spring 2012 collaboration), and am thrilled to see that she's coming back for the Autumn. You Bay Area folks are so lucky!

Oh, and if you San Franciscans like the Uniqlo aesthetic, you'll be happy to learn that Muji (branding-free high-quality housewares and clothing) is also opening a SoMa branch in November. So jealous ... those are my 2 favourite stores from the 4 months I lived in HK

I like Uniqlo for basics like camis and leggings. They have a great selection of cotton leggings (the only kind I will wear). Good prices and good quality. I usually try to stop by one of their stores when I am NYC. I have not seen the new fall stuff, but the spring/summer collection this year was extremely preppy (far too preppy for me).
