uniqlo heattech leggings/tights vs. fleece lined tights?

Could anyone who has tried both of these compare and contrast them for me? Are the heattechs just as warm? They have lots of fun patterns, prints, etc, and look like they might be slightly less opaque than fleece lined tights.

ETA: I am waffling on the the fleece lined tights because fleece is REALLY staticky on me and my dry skin/hair. Like, fleece hats make my hair shoot sparks.

I have both and MUCH prefer my heattech thermals from Uniqlo. Less obtrusive and very thin - but just as warm.

(I was hoping to go to Uniqlo during the NYC meetup, which was sadly cancelled, so I think I'm going to order some online.)

I have both (picked up some Uniqlo stuff in San Francisco this year). To me, they serve different purposes - I have not thought about using Uniqlo leggings with skirts, I only wear skirts with tights. I am also in a really cold climate where Uniqlo leggings might be a bit too thin. I prefer the close fit and coziness of fleece-lined tights with skirts (but they only work for me with heavy lined skirts like the Halogen seamed skirt). Love Uniqlo as an underlayer with pants.

In any case, I actually like footless tights best under dresses/skirts because I prefer to wear real socks and the lack of feet makes them more comfy and far more durable for me (I always wear holes in the toes of my tights). What I REALLY want (but likely does not exist) is semi-sheer, WARM footless tights.

ETA: Also, would LACE heattech kind of defeat the purpose?

I'm with Angie on this one - there's no going back from the Uniqlo thermals. They are amazing. Plus, they dry fast too. And, oh, while I am at it, might I also push their t-shirts and camis -- soooo warm, but without the bulk. Works beautifully as a base layer for that scratchy sweater!

Hmm. my first foray into fleece lined tights (Hue) were initially heavenly for softness and warmth (not fleecy as I find fleece to make my skin crawl a bit) but they did not stay up and that drove me mad all day.
I only have a heattech cami, but find it fantastically thin and soft and use it under blouses and sweaters.
