Okay, a close look at these and I'm not sure. My feeling was that all the distressing and fading made the blue ones special. These don't have the same amount of dimension, and I'm not a fan of black jeans on me. I was hoping for a distressed mid-grey or a darker blue that looked more dimensional. How weird and picky is that?
If these go on sale I may spring, but I'm not as in love with them. See, I do have some self-control.
That makes a lot of sense. And I really like the contrast of your faded blue ones against darker tops. My boyfriend jeans are all very light, for the same reason.

What I'm really hoping for is that they'll come out with a version that skips the distressing. Love the idea of the softness, but the holes in the knees aren't my thing at all. Especially since, on me, they'd probably hit mid-calf instead of at my actual knees anyway.
I'm so glad to see they are coming out with different washes! I'd like some in faded blue, less distressing, and no "dirt". Keep your eyes peeled, fabbers!
Una, I feel the exact same way! They aren't distressed enough to be cheeky/artsy in the way of the other wash. I might have pounced, though, if the distressing was hectic and allover like Anna's R13s...
