Umm...socks with high heels??? (insert frowny face)

Erm...am I the only one who doesn't get this? I am trying to decide whether I want to adjust my eye to this trend, or simply let it pass me right on by!

I don't mind the grown up/funky version like Agness Deyn and SJP in the following post (hate the Joss Stone look though):

Hehe! Well, I'd be interested to see it. I think it can work...in the post I mentioned above I quite like SJP's take on it, and Agnyess Deyn's interesting patterned socks...but they are known for being super-edgy.

I think it can be really cute...I just don't know if I like all the takes on it I've seen thus far.

How are you planning to style yours?

I think it can work....I like the idea of it with closed toe heels and a very high sock. I think it's a take on a 90s trend.

Sorry Tara, I'm in love with this look. I could not have a more opposing opinion from you if I tried! I think it's totally cute and just bought 2 pairs of socks and have one more in my cart in Nordies. Can't wait until fall to wear it.

Not the same thing at all but today I saw a 30ish woman wearing black tapered ankle pants with black sandals that looked like flip flops without the big toe separation and white cotton athletic socks. It looked like she did it deliberately but it wasn't working. The looks you posted could be cute on the young with good legs.

I like the look! I think you have to have the right combo of socks, shoes, and legs to pull it off. If I were 20 years younger, I'd be all over it

I love SJP's look. For me it works because both socks and shoes are dark. I'm not loving the colourful socks looks but can't wiat to see Maya sport her looks- I may change my mind x
