I find these a bit tricky, just because I am probably way over-sensitive and worry that some of these (especially the ones with lots of straps) almost feel like they make fun of those who have to wear 'ugly' shoes for health/ability reasons.
I did see my young and uber-cool hair stylist wearing those old-school Reebok white sneakers that I had in 1987 and I did think they looked cool on her; I think that's maybe the 'lite' version of this trend and that I can get behind.
That said, I think these exaggerated versions work when they are included in a high-fashion look as these are, as it becomes more obvious the point is to make a statement, and that is right up your alley Anna!
