Ugh the Dre

I ordered a lot of boots and a purse, some make up and the Dre. I'm not convinced they are for me. The fabric is a bit stiff. I feel Ag and hudsons and sevens are so much softer. I'm also not convinced they work with my body type. Any opinions are welcome!
Do they soften with washing??
Also not sure how to take a selfie of my back side!
May be if I added appropriate shoes and top I would help?

If you don't love them, don't settle. They'll end up unloved and not worn as much. And, you'll still be looking for the perfect pair.

I, personally, feel like they're okay on you but not spectacular.

kikidee, in your second picture set -- styled -- those jeans look fantastic. I cannot imagine them looking better, in fact. So there's that.

But there's also the title of your post: ugh.

Ultimately, I think the jeans look great (based on pic set 2) but you should decide to keep/return based on how they feel. I have bought SO MANY pairs of jeans I was unsure about and Thistle is right: they just sit there. It's painful to see them unworn, even if they were a good deal.

If your inner voice feels better after taking a breath and styling them, then keep! If you are still being nagged by uncertainty, return. That would be my approach, anyway.

I agree with Viva: The jeans look great on you, but if they don't FEEL great, then you won't wear them.

Personally I'm 100% in the soft denim camp. I have two pairs of 100% cotton BF jeans that get softer every time I wear them, so don't settle.

I agree with Viva. I think they look fabulous on you styled up. But if they don't feel good to you or meet your tastes, then forget them.

I own a pair of these in a different wash and love them. But I sized up for a looser fit, not true BF but a bit slouchy. The ones I own are mostly cotton and I happen to like that (vs. a soft stretchy jean). However, I've also ordered the burgundy Dres which are softer.

I sized up in these - a 27 fits but I got a 28 for some extra slouch and ease. I got last year's version which was a different wash and doesn't seem the same this year.

The Dre jeans are very inconsistent as far as fabric goes. If you send these back, don't let that prevent you from trying a different model of the Dres in the future. My Dre jeans were, from day one, incredibly soft, but I tried on others that weren't.

Nordstrom's actually tells the fabric composition, usually. I always look at that with jeans.

Love the Dres, have them in three different washes, but they are not for everyone. I wear mine quite loose, definitely in the boyfriend jean style, so there is room in the seat and legs and they hang off my hips (crotch point is slightly dropped). I also have a very straight figure -- no waist, no hips. But the heavier, stiffer fabric is actually a feature I really like -- because I wear them loose. That fabric wouldn't work so well for skinnies! What would happen if you sized up in the Dres?

Also, I've noticed that the fabric for my third pair of Dres is lighter, softer and seems stretchier than the other two, even though it says on the label that they have the same fibre composition. I agree with others who say that this style can vary quite a lot -- so it's worth trying on different washes.

The first pics you posted I thought no, send them back. But the styles pic I say keep. They really look good. But, always a but, if they are not comfortable, send them back.

After the first pics I was going to suggest sizing up, but I think the second, styled picture looks smashing! Do you feel like maybe they've loosened up a smidge? or is it all about the magic of styling?

They look better on you than me! My rear view was pretty atrocious. I am going to return I have a pair of AGs that looked better, but I have several more pairs on order to compare to as well. I would say keep if you love them, but if not no harm in continuing to look around.

Thanks so much for the opinions. I like them styled as well. They are a size up for me because when I tried them previously, I felt the legs were really narrow. They are loosening up a bit as well. I like the slouchy fit yet the legs are straight. I don't have jeans lately that I like tucking into, but these I think are cute tucked. I was surprised with the length as well, I am 5'10" and curvy on the bottom and assumed these would be too short.
I'm waiting on the 4 pairs of booties I ordered to arrive before I decide!!
Thanks for the feedback, this is my first post, having been an observer for a while!
The shoes are just Loft sandals I grabbed on one of their 50% off deals. I was looking for a lower block heel and didn't want to break the bank.

I agree with what others have written. Once you styled them they looked amazing on you but you have to feel amazing in them. If they are cotton I would expect them to soften over time. They also might stretch out a bit.
