In the past 2-3 months I've had a ton of my hair fall out (finding piles of it everywhere and coming out with fingerfuls each time I run my hands through it). I have fine hair but a lot of it to begin with, but in the past couple years it has thinned out. The thinning is related to my health problems, and unfortunately because of the causes of the thinning there isn't much I can do to prevent it other than do my best to take care of my health.
I've had periods of a lot of hair loss before where certain areas (especially around my face) have gotten very thin but I was so excited because in the last year I've had a ton of regrowth. This means I have a bunch of wispys of all different lengths, but regrowth is regrowth!
Anyway, it has thinned again to the point where it looks ok down (shoulder length) where it hangs around my face when it is squeaky clean and freshly styled, but doesn't look good for long, or pulled back--- which is such a must for me between having fine flyaway hair and all the time I spend outdoors or being active. It has to be able to be kept out of my face! Right now the wispys are creating a frizzy mullet look in a pony tail, but they are too profuse to slick back and too delicate to clip or pin. Also, the hairline and temples are getting close to being a little "scalp heavy". I can no longer french braid my hair because it is thin enough that there is too much weight on the front sections.
Im just at a loss with what to do--- I'm feeling self-concious about it and not liking what I see in the mirror and am tired of fussing with it--- it is always hanging in my face because there isn't enough hair to style with some body to keep it off my face or in a messy pony that is a disaster.
Plus, I'm going grey prematurely.
Honestly, Im so frustrated my solution would be a purple buzz cut, but that probably isn't the best solution for job hunting . . .
