Two tops - what do you think?

I ordered a boxy summer top in the same color as #1, but it was way too big on me, so big in fact that I suspect sizing down wouldn't help either. I have either the option of getting my money back or to exchange it for something else. There are two options I have for the same price, the shirt in #1 and the T-shirt in #2. The quality of the top I had ordered was great and the fabric was lovely, so I think the first one would be nice as well. I would order it a size down, I'm guessing it would still be a fluid fit considering the other tee. This would be the safe option, so to say. This one is 100% cotton. Another option would be #2, but I'm not completely sure of the print, although I love the colors. This one is half cotton half polyester.

Would you order one of these in exchange? And please feel free to tell me to just get my money back, I you feel that way.

Just wanted to add that they did something wrong and I got the money back all the same, but I'm not placing a new order.

Astrid I'm all about the stripes and the pale blue is different than the usual suspects - truly love it!!

Thanks Dustt! It's not pale blue though, although it does look like that in the pic. It's a pale green, a bit like sage green, not minty.

even better that it's pale green!! - it's the paleness of the stripes that intrigue me!!

personally I prefer the print... very beautiful and just a bit unexpected but so fun for the outdoors... matching good summer weather and alleviating the bad weather blahs.

that said I love the pastel trend nod of the stripes and you wear stripes so well

not much help eh? on balance am daring you to go for #2 over the safe choice.

Thanks Manidipa! That was what I was thinking. And I already have a few striped tops and the second one would be something new to change things up a bit...

I'm bumping - still haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards #2 at the moment. I'm going to go to the post office tomorrow.

I like both. The stripey top is more classic and the second top is more unexpected. I don't think you can go wrong.

I like the print one, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of your options.

I love the print - it's a little different from what you have already, but the colours should work very well for you.
But either option is great. ( how can you go wrong with stripes!)

I missed this Astrid - I wonder if you ordered one or the other? The #2 is a bit cool in color tones from the image. Do you usually like to wear cool colors? I feel like your coloring is more on the warm side...but sometimes color works in unexpected ways.

Yes, I forgot to get back to this. I filled in the form for the print shirt, but then today I got a mail that they sent me the money back? A bit strange, but I didn't have the time to get in touch and ask them about it.

My vote is/was for the print, to shake things up a bit. But now that you've got your money back... maybe you'll want to look father afield

If you're still thinking of ordering one of the tops with your refund, I wonder if you would find long sleeves or short sleeves more useful. I do like both the stripes and the tie-dye sort of print, and if short sleeves will get a lot of wear, I'd probably go with the print for the "different" factor, just to inject some variety.
