Two Toned Cowboy Boots

So I just got these boots:

I wear boots a lot and have my favorite sleek black boots and really pretty cognac boots -- actually the same ones that are posted in the "store" that Angie recommended -- and LOVE both of them.

At any rate -- what do you think about these boots and what should I wear it with?? They are two toned and I am a person that wear earthy colors, reds, oranges, dark pinks, browns, etc...thoughts????

I think they'd look cute with a shirtdress+cardigan or over skinnies+plain tee+blazer with rolled up sleeves. I'm curious what other members say, I don't have a lot of experience with cowboy boots.

By the way -- I know I need to keep the outfit plain -- b/c these boots are too colorful -- but should I stick with plain cowboy boots?? But my regular boots are already plain -- so I was trying to jazz it up.

I was thinking dark skinny jeans -- but what shirt?

No need to wear plain footwear. For the top, it depends a bit on the style you have. These could be paired with a fitted sweater in turquoise to match the detail on the boot, a button up shirt with a patterned scarf, a tee with a structured jacket. What's an outfit you'd normally wear with your other boots?

I wear skinny jeans or skinny black stretch pants and then whatever shirt -- many of which are from Anthropologie -- kind of ethnic looking (my fav). I also wear fitted Ts with a flowy cardi or long sweaters.

What do you think about skinny jeans and then a white, cream or navy Dolman long sleeve shirt? I feel like if I match the boots too much it will look like a costume. Thus the dilemma -- and let me tell you I tried on tons of boots -- and for some reason these were calling my name.

A girl has gotta have some shoes and or boots that are purely for fun and I do love those cowgirl boots. Because of the two colors you may want to keep the rest of the outfit simpler. I'd say in general solid colors and less embellishment. Not that you can't add more but you will have to be careful with how it all comes together.

As you mentioned, you don't want to look like you are in a cowgirl costume. What you want is a regular outfit that just happens to have been finished off with some fab cowgirl boots!

Shoes shoes and more shoes that is what a girl has to have in her closet. I am surprised by the new old hit cowgirl boots are. I just got a new pair here http://cowgirlbootsnow.com and love them to death. I wont stop there always adding new shoes to my closet.
