Two tone shoes

Why do two tone shoes appeal to me so much? Is it because I like high contrast? Is it because they appeal to the practical side of me (theory that two colors will go with more than a solid)?

Anyone seen these EF shoes? Are they cute or just ugly?!

Thinking they semi bookmark my hair.

But then I see Janet's rose gold sneaks and go down the rabbit hole of metallic sneaks. Maybe I need to step away from the computer a while

I live 2- tone footwear! I think it's not just contrast, but breaks up the shoe so it does not just look like a boat ( on me).
And adds interest and is a bit different than my environmental norm.

I too adore shoes of two or more colours. Wear a column of your favourite colour then get to the bi-coloured shoes and I'm in love. Due to WPH&S I can't always wear a scarf, so shoes do it for me.

I like them also. I think its the subtle or high contrast. To me they look fresh and can perk up a fit.

They're actually three tone if you count the laces! I'm not sure about the beige tones, but that's just me.

I like two-tone shoes, especially with the black toe cap. I find though, that the black and white ones are very noticeable---a bit too much so for this leg of my style journey.

I do like tonal ones though. I had a pair of eggplant shoes with a darker, patent eggplant on the toe and a lighter, suede eggplant on the body. Really loved these shoes, and I think it as because they were subtly interesting.

I love 2 different materials in same color, or a metallic insert with black( all- metallic is tough for me for some reason ), or burgundy with black, or animal print with black, or teal with gray- that type of thing. I am keeping eye out for such mixes. Also would like to add a touch of not usually me color , like cobalt, in a 2-tone shoe since it is away from face.
