Two Questions

Brin

I have two questions. First, I managed to find the list of common acronyms, but couldn't find the one I was looking for. What does HEWI mean?

I was also wondering about the "Ask Angie" option. When would this be used?

These questions could probably be answered in a flash by a veteran. Please, fill me in...

Highly elusive wanted item . The ask Angie , I'm not positive but I think just as straightforward as asking her opinion on a specific item of fashion. I'm sure more seasoned fabbers can jump in and fine tune my response.

Hi Brin! I can answer your first question... HEWI stands for "Highly Elusive Wardrobe Item".
As for your second... I've seen members ask questions for specific fashion advice, and sometimes veterans chime in with their opinions too.

Thanks, Gail and Donna! I love that acronym and can totally identify.

I wonder if I would ever be brave enough to ask Angie directly about any of my style issues... It's very generous of her, I think, to give us the opportunity.

Many of us have 'asked Angie'. What happens is you click on the 'Ask Angie' just at the top of the page under your profile photo and it opens up a 'start a conversation' page with the header of Ask Angie. Fill in your query and upload any photos or links if they are relevant. It just appears on the main forum as a new topic amongst the list of threads when you've hit submit. Invariably many others answer your thread to help too.

Thanks, Diane G. -- that makes it feel less intimidating to know that it goes to the main forum. I have such a long way to go in terms of style... and I'm so grateful for the help and inspiration that's given here.
