Update at the end of this previous post:

As a follow-up to the great shoe update of 2014, I have two new pair to unveil. My recent eye opening post showed one of my needs to be comfortable flats. My coworkers gave me gift cards for my birthday, to Amazon, TJMaxx, and Starbucks (the trifecta!) so I immediately spent the Amazon card on shoes. As a bonus, I had them sent to me at work, so I opened my birthday gift in front of the givers and immediately wore one of the pair on the spot (taking team wear to a whole new level!). I am really thrilled with these purchases and can't wait to keep adding more to my shoe wardrobe (I'm thinking of the Eliana and Effel sandals Marley, Vicki, and Suz so highly recommend).

Without further ado, here are my new purchases (sorry - I can't do 'finds' from the iPad):

1: Isaac Mizrahi Evelyn flat

2. Vince Camuto Huarachi Sandal

ETA: I have to add that it took everything I had not to buy nude shoes. Both the white and black are pretty far outside of my comfort zone, but I thought that they would inject a little something fresh into my life.

Another ETA: The black sandals were a no-go. When I tried to wear them around the house, I couldn't get them off my feet fast enough. They hurt so badly. The high ankle was too stiff and would get uncomfortable quickly, and the back, around the heel was painful! It make returning that much easier when I discovered that they looked truly horrible on me. Really. So not good. I returned them and picked up two more pair:

My nod to trying to incorporate a higher ankle in black - this is about the only flattering silhouette for my feet/legs that I have been able to find. They were so inexpensive that I was not holding my breath, but they are so awesome. So far they feel super comfortable for the type of shoe they are - very flat, little padding - and VERY flattering. If calling it a win, and satisfies the need to add some black.
3. Brekelles leopard and black pointy toe flat with ankle strap: http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ.....#038;psc=1

And here's a shocker - a nude sandal! This is my comfort zone for a reason... I followed the recommendations of reviewers and sized up half a size. Definitely needed - my size would have been too small! I am a little worried about where the ankle strap hits my shin - it is very wide - but they don't hurt as much as make me notice something is on my ankle somewhere it has never been before. I think that they are worth the risk - I don't know if I can test them out well enough without just wearing them. They are quite flattering on my think ankles (this type of thing can go either way) and well ventilated, and they fill a super practical hole/need in my shoe wardrobe.
