Two NAS shoppers, passing in the night

I have to tell this story, because it is just so funny!

I decided to hit our local Nordstroms tonight to try on the Steven Madden Maryns and maybe wander through some of the clothes again. Who do you think I ran into walking out from a trip of returns? Laura!!

We stopped and gabbed for a bit, and I think if she hadn't had her two boys with her I might have convinced her to come and check out the boots with me. I might be able to convince her to join me again anyway to try them out; I liked them but that long extra chunk of leather is a very different look for me. I need a second opinion!

Eventually we parted ways. But I loved that we were both there checking stuff out! Hahahaha.

(P.S. I also checked out some of the Kut from the Kloth jeans and have the skinnies ordered. I took home a pair of distressed rolled boyfriends; I know few people like that look, but I adore it for summer. Also *cough* two Babeau flowing cardigans (gold and heathered coral), and a non-NAS white tunic top on sale.)

Kristen, the same happened to Sarah and me last Sat. After Sarah said she wouldn't be visiting the store, who did I run into as I made a quick run through by myself (a short moment with no kids)? We talked until I had to leave to meet the rest of my family.

That sounds like fun! I wish I would run into YLFers at my store. . . in fact I found myself eyeing someone in my Nordies recently who reminded me of anne's pics, when I remembered anne is in Australia, right?

To pass on your shopping wisdom: Did you size down in Kut jeans? were they skinnies?

I love the boyfriend/rolled bottom jeans look, I found some R&S button fly ones I think are FUN. I just won't post any pics here, or look at any pics of myself either -- I am having FUN with them

Ha, Patience! I love that we claim we're not going, and then we do. The power of Nordstroms is strong, be it in Texas or Chicago.

MNSara, I was not really sure of what my current size is (haven't worn jeans in at least 6 months or longer) but yes, I think these were a size smaller than what I really should be. Halogen pants of the same size didn't fit as well.

Taylor, I don't know how much we might have passed each other before meeting; I actually didn't go to Nordstroms much before the last NAS and meeting Laura. (Awwww, I just realized last year's NAS was the beginning of our offline friendship. Sniffle!)

We had a good laugh about it! Kristen appeared at just the right moment. Completely disobeying the "NO RUNNING IN A STORE" rule, my two boys had raced each other to the Nordstrom exit (both wanting to be the one to push the button that opened the automatic door), and wound up falling and lying in a heap under the button. I was completely humiliated and ready to sell them for a nickel to any passing stranger. That was when Kristen appeared!

Well, they were good while I made a bunch of returns, and that was enough to accomplish in one visit. Wish I could have stayed and given Kristen a second opinion on those boots!

What a great story. Kristen, I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the Kut from the Kloth skinnies. I'd bought the straight leg M&O jeans based on your recommendation and I love them so I'm hoping that these work out for you.

Haha, yep! I told Patience I wasn't planning on going to the store at all because I'd already done enough damage. But the leather coat I wanted Bryan to try was sold out online but they had ONE left at our store.
What a random happy for that day!
