I made the trip to Nordstrom yesterday to return the teal coat and got to check out some items in person.

Not much floated my boat, honestly. Most of what caught my eye online was not available in-store except for the North Face teal anorak, which is nice but kind of utilitarian, and I'm kind of between sizes in it -- the M fits but would not accommodate much underneath, and the L just feels too roomy and not terribly fab. I like the color but am holding out for a style that makes me feel great.

However, this gunmetal crossbody caught my eye. I have a pair of western style booties in this color, and my Sofft gladiator sandals as well (both pictured below in Finds). Gunmetal is a really good metallic for me, and lately I'm most into bags that are either crossbody or backpacks. This bag is just big enough to hold my necessities. It's a little bit stiff, but not unpleasantly so. So the bag came home with me. (I may need to do a bag edit, but I'm proceeding carefully. I have some I really love that I'm just not using at the moment -- I suspect they'll have a moment again in a couple of years, so I am more inclined to keep them, so I may move them to a separate bag holding zone.)

When I arrived home, the Poppy sneakers were waiting for me. They are quite shiny, have very soft uppers and are quite comfortable. They are not too wide in the heel for me, which is a minor miracle these days, especially in a style with a thicker sole. I will wear them around the house a bit to be sure, but I think these are a worthy replacement for my aged Cole Haans (pictured below in Finds).
