I had two lightbulb moments today.

1. My Gidigio boots are at the cobbler getting grippy soles. WAH! Can't survive! I'm trying to look at it as a chance to reassess my boot collection... So in considering why I don't wear a few of the pairs I have, realized that they are just too... complicated. Either they have no zipper and must be hand buckled, or they have laces and need to be adjusted, or they require some sort of fussing with socks - and I'm just too put off by that somehow. I got rid of my Frye Rorys because it took 10 minutes to wiggle my foot down the shaft!

Lightbulb moment: I tend to reach for shoes (and clothes) that are easy to put on and take off.

2. I dropped a bunch of old toys at the thrift store and decided to wander in to look for a chunky sweater. Roamed around and found nothing. Wondered whether the quality of items there has gotten even worse, or if my thrifting skills have deteriorated woefully. Then realized that maybe I have just become so PPP that I no longer think of everything that strikes my fancy as a treasure that must be brought home.

Lightbulb moment: I am happier just getting what I really want.
