I am so excited! My sister and I have just worked out 4 and a 1/2 days of Twin Time. We have not had this opportunity for 3 years. I will be traveling to her and her husband is prepared to see us at breakfast and perhaps dinner time. He is also preparing himself for the inevitable Surround Sound that is a natural occurrence whenever we are together.
Twinny and I will be shopping for much of out time together. We always have so much fun! We will have options from discount stores, premium outlets, high end malls and boutiques.
A trip like this takes careful planning. Packing will be easy. My capsule will be very small because I can borrow clothing, outerwear, shoes and accessories from my sister.....shopping her closet is fun for both of us!
I have learned a lot about fashion, style, trends, color and what works for me from being a member of Angie’s blog and forum. Knowledge is power and I am very carefully considering which specific items to put on my wish list.
It is important for me to stay focused during this trip. With so many store options and a variety of price points I am sure to be tempted to purchase things I don’t really need, just because they are available and I can try everything on. I need to think about spring and summer needs and wants and also be aware of any fall needs. I need to do a closet review over the next couple of weekends.
The one rule I am going to have my sister hold me to is to only purchase items I will actually be able to wear when I get home. I have found that when shopping with my super stylish sister, in her environment and trying on clothes in well lighted dressing rooms I tend to purchase lovely items that spend way too much time in my closet just waiting for an opportunity to be worn. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
My current wish list (subject to change):
Shoes - specifically lighter colored footwear to bookend with my hair, low heeled slingbacks, flats
A handbag to also work with my hair. I have several gorgeous dark bags, a bright blue and a tomato red, but nothing in beige, light gray or blush.
Crop pants for work.
Two special event outfits:
1) a school musical that a colleague and I have written and are directing and producing for grades K-4. It will be performed on stage in a historic Art Deco theater. I will only be onstage at the beginning and end of the show, but still want something special to mark the event.
2) an early fall wedding

Ok, friends, what suggestions, tips and strategies do you have for me? Thank you for taking the time to read the length of this and to share comments if you wish.
