I’m looking for some light hearted entertainment, so asking what are the funniest shows you’ve watched? Anything that is a catalyst for raised eyebrows, smiles, giggles, and guffaws. Animated children’s fare, or adults only. It’s all good!

On You Tube I like watching "Whos line is it Anyway" skits (the songs in the different styles Wayne Brady does especially), and the comedian Gabriel Iglesias "Fluffy". He's funny without being mean or obscene.

Jackie Chan movies like "Drunken Master" are fun! I love his creative fight scenes where he uses random stuff like ladders

+1 to Schitt’s Creek. I resisted because of the name but it’s funny and heartwarming. As is Ted Lasso which I’ve watched twice all the way through.

Agreed with so many of the recommendations here! I also really liked The Good Place — comedy with some wonderful smart philosophical themes. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was good too.

My current LOL show is the new “dramedy” Resident Alien. Alan Tudyk is a comedic genius. He plays a being from another planet who crash landed on earth and has to disguise himself as a human, who happens to be a doctor in a small mountain town in Colorado. Sort of My Favorite Martian meets Northern Exposure, with a murder mystery thrown in too. It’s not a perfect show, but Tudyk makes me laugh out loud in every episode. I’ve loved him ever since he played Wash in Firefly.

I couldn't get into Schitts Creek except for the scenes with David in them bc he is just... well, I love him.

As a recovering addict, I have to say that Shameless and Weeds were absolutely ridiculous and I kind of love both. Trailer Park Boys fits into this "category" for me also. They helped me laugh at much of the insanity i lived through before i got clean/sober. Big Bang Theory is a good one. For vintage skit comedy laughs, The Kids in the Hall is a good one, I love them. Whose line is it is absolutely painfully funny, as in I would laugh til it hurt sometimes. Jackass (any and all variations) is the id running amok and must see if you need a mindless laugh (same for most of the spinoffs because those guys are idiots to the point of being brilliant).

"Nailed It," a silly baking competition show. It makes me fall out my chair laughing. If you yearn to see epic baking disasters, this is the show to watch. Available on Netflix.

I’m still on The Good Place and love it because it’s lighthearted and the philosophy jokes are hilarious. I also like the show that came after it over-air - Superstore. Also light and sweet.

Movies I like to watch again and again:

Moonstruck - I love the part with the grandfather and all his dogs.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off - I’ve seen this so many times - I just love it - all of it is funny, plus scenes of Chicago.

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure - so funny and silly, seeing Genghis Khan and Napoleon at a shopping mall, for example.

Best in Show, mentioned above - really skewers dog shows. Hilarious!

Since nobody else has mentioned it yet, I’m really enjoying Staged, which was originally on BBC but is now available on Hulu in the us.

I really need to watch Schitt’s Creek! I’ve heard so many good things about it.

Sal, I need to check out Brooklyn 99. I know I’m really late to it. I have loved Andre Braugher since he was Det. Pembleton on Homicide: Life on the Street. I used to run into them filming from time to time, and got to meet some of the cast members, but never him, unfortunately. He’s a fantastic actor.

I couldn't get enough of Schitt's Creek and I LOVED the new One Day at a Time. Though with One Day at a Time it reminded me so much of my dual culture upbringing. Though my husband ( fully American ) found it hysterical too.

Keeping Up Appearances was terribly funny. It was a British sitcom, I think from the nineties. I'm not sure where you can find episodes now. Sometimes they show up on YouTube.

Super Store has laugh out loud moments. I watched 3 seasons and that was enough (there are 5 or 6) but they were very funny! Offspring, an Australian show is very funny (also heart warming and occasionaly sad) Both on Canadian Netflix
