I finished my closet purge today - just spent the last two hours bagging up the last of the stuff to take to Salvation Army. I have a significantly smaller wardrobe than when I joined YLF and yet it is 100% more functional and cohesive. I really haven't purchased a huge number of items since I started the process (in relative terms anyway) and have learned how to re-work many items I already had in my closet (like my winter white swing jacket which had literally hung in my closet for almost a year without being worn). I'm far more confident in what I'm wearing because the items I kept/purchased fit better and I have a style direction I'm excited about (Retro Classic). I'm also proud of NOT purchasing the Bailey 44 dress (thanks again for all the input) because I made an informed decision. I have a rough list of what I'd like to purchase for spring and the overall "feel" I'd like to have in my spring wardrobe. I don't feel that I will be wasting time and money making poor choices as often as I used to which should limit my closet orphans. I've learned to love my figure for what it is and stop fretting over what it isn't. Because of YLF I can honestly say I feel better about myself now at size 10 than I did when I was a size 6.
I still have a lot to learn and hope to be constantly growing and changing with this style journey - but I'm excited about the future!
