Tunic Shirt options in the UK

Having seen Angie's stunning looks in her tunic shirt I was wondering what you all thought about these options for a tunic shirt that I have found here in the UK:

None of the ASOS ones were longsleeved!

and

What a coincidence Fi I was just thinking about this today. New Look might have them they usually have fashion type things along with H & M. I'm shopping tommorrow so will have a look and let you know.

Haha, you read my mind too, Fi! I was thinking today "when I get home I should start a thread on where to find tunic shirts for us UK gals..." Great minds, indeed.

I love the ruffles on the ASOS one but aren't sure about the versatility of the styling- maybe a more classic collared version, with sleeves a la Angie's, would be better? The M&S one doesn't do it for me, for some reason.

I haven't seen any myself but will keep my eyes out from now on, and report back if/when I do.

I was thinking that too about the ASOS one, but all the others had shortsleeves and I know that Angie prefers sleeveless. For me I think that would be easier to layer without the sleeves to worry about. I actually prefered this one in black.

Good question, Fi. I think you need to decide HOW you want to wear the tunic shirt. For me, I must have a collar to pop and sleeves that I can scrunch. So I like them classic and plain. But that doesn’t mean that you need to go that way. Perhaps you’ll never want to belt it – so go for an empire cut.

I'm all over the first Debenhams style.

My current tunic has too much detail such as button tabs on the breast pockets which make it less versatile for styling.
I also agree with Angie about the first debenhams tunic.

Julie, I can definitely see that one on you- it seems to suit your romantic, vintage style. Belt, leggings and booties, I'd say.

I still want a tunic but if I go for the Whistles jacket I'll be on a strict shopping ban until I stop feeling guilty I hope you all get some tunics so I can live vicariously through you!
