Tunic length sweaters.

So I am new to wearing skinny jeans (yeah, I know other people have been wearing them for many years, but I'm slow), and am kinda self conscious of my butt/thigh region. What I'm wondering is whether short people like myself (5' tall, 100lbs) can get away with wearing tunic-length sweaters (like this one: http://www1.macys.com/shop/pro.....slotId%3D8). Are tunic sweaters even still in style anymore? I really like the look of them but have always been afraid to try because of my height.

Yes you can wear them and yes they're still in style (to me, anyway!). I think it's all in the style of tunic sweater - you want to make sure it's flattering and in proportion to you. I'm a little taller than you, but you may want to check out tunic sweaters in Petite lines (of any brand you like) because the overall structure of the sweater will be designed to make sure it doesn't overwhelm your small frame. Hope you find something!

I am having this SAME problem! I'm 5'2", and also new to skinnies.

I tried the Eversoft sweaters from GAP and they are long enough, I'm pretty happy with them. Here's an example - note the hem is longer in back so it covers the bottom:

But I need to find some other tunic sweaters and shirts to round out my wardrobe for skinnies.

BTW these sweaters seem like they might pill over time - just a heads up. (There is some acrylic in them.)

For some reason the Macy's picture is not coming up- but anyway. I say YES.

I am shortish (5"4) and probably similiarly proportions ( you are a little thinner) with butt thigh worries, and I wear tunic length sweaters with skinnies ALL the time. It is one of my own MOTG formulas.
