Tunic dresses

I have finally got round to trying on and traking some pictures of the tunic dresses I have been telling you all about.

The first one is a bit shorter and by putting a belt on it looks shorter still, hence wearing it on its own for now. Maybe the leggings would work with this one but to be honest it is so hot right now that it would be good if I could pull it off without leggings for now.

what shoes do you think work best? white or nude/peach? and also are the accessories ok?

Next one is a bit longer so merits a belt or heels if they are better? tried two different belts and a few shoes opinions - what ones work please.

You may have noticed my post yesterday so I am really trying to give myself an overhaul, Just don't want to over do it or look like an idiot!

You have great legs so i think you can wear the green one without leggings in the summer, either sandal looks great with it. (that's never the 'nurses' one is it!)

The orange dress is a beautiful colour on you and i think all of the shoes and belts you posted with it will work.

So no you don't look like an idiot you look fab x

Lol no the nurses one is white with pale green trim!! Thanks for your quick reply Loulou, my husband wants to go out for lunch and I need to decide what to wear so that has helped!

I agree.. you can wear the green one with or without leggings and I would wear it with out a belt because it is short and it has already the white on the colar and on the hem.

As to the second one, I like the three options, and I really like to see on you a dress belted!

You look great in both dresses -- You have the legs to wear short dresses, and I'm guessing you're young enough to pull it off As long as you stay with the flat sandals (very cute) and not heels, the look is perfect for a summery day. I wouldn't belt the white one -- perfect as is. I do like the second dress belted -- it gives it a boho vibe.

Looks fantastic with leggings and belted or unbelted. If you are going to wear without leggings i wouldn't belt it as it would make it too short x

Are these the dresses you had made? For the green one either shoe works but I personally like the nude one better-- and on the second dress I like the look of the first 2 posts better than then last one with the animal print shoe and bracelet-- I don't think you NEED to wear leggings under either one, you have great legs for shorter styles, and neither are too short as to look inappropriate.

Yes both dresses I had made. I don't like the animal print pumps with it either, but as I am trying to do new things thought I should get a 2nd opinion on it. Thanks for all the advice once again.

I think all the versions you posted are good. For the green dress, it's good unbelted/without leggings but with the belt/leggings it's very eye-catching.

The orange dress is a great color for you; I liked it slightly better with the darker belt because it's more dramatic.

I like every look you posted including the orange dress with the animal print flats. The legging look with the green and white is great but you can totally pull off the dress without leggings. Orange is my favorite color so I'm all over that dress. Both belts look great.

I can't believe that you felt you were in such dire fashion straights. You have looked amazing in everything you've posted and I'd kill to have such innate style.

*swoon* Orange looks SO amazing on you. I love it best with the black belt but just because I'm a sucker for orange with white/black. The same for the green dress, where you've belted it and worn it with leggings, the contrast is just awesome. That is not to say nay to the other combos - I like every one of them especially with legs as amazing as yours

I adore these tunics. I adore the simplicity of them combined with th FAB belts. You have inspired me to work on a fab belt collection. You have also reminded me how much I love simple lines in clothing! You look gorgeous. I just aboout gasped when I saw the last picture because to me that dress, with leggings on you is perfection!!

You look fantastic in all combinations! I agree with PPs about flats working better with this dress length. On the first outfit I would stick either with the necklace or a bangle but not both. I like white sandals with the dress better, but both work great.
The belted dress with leggings is absolutely perfect! And the first orange dress look is my favorite - but you really can't go wrong with other combos.

I am still totally overwelmed with the responses from this website. Everyone is so helpful with their comments and it is so good to get honest opinions on things. I feel more confident to wear these dresses now, and I must say that my fav is the green dress with black leggings and belt which I can honeslty say I would never have tried a week ago, so thank you ylf!!

I LOVE both dresses and all of the options so in my opinion you can't go wrong with these. I'm not sure that's much help though!

I just want to add that you look great in every photo, belted and not belted, but the last look with leggings blew me away. You have excellent instincts for putting things together.
