tucked or not?

Last night I came out with this outfit tucked in and asked DH what he thought of it. With no prompting he said - don't tuck it in. So I didn't.

What do you think?

I think it looks good both ways so whichever one you feel most comfortable in. I do have a tiny preference for untucked.

I like it tucked. A lot. The dressiness of the blouse and dark wash on the jeans creates a dressy late 70-s vibe -- in a good way. Untucked is lovely, too, but I think tucked is a little more polished and modern, and you have the body to do it well. Gorgeous color, btw!

DH has been looking at untucked looks for 15 years, so he may associate tucking with matronly mom jeans and polo shirts.

Beth Ann, I think you are right, and that is why I wanted a second opinion. DH is not very interested in fashion!

If he's anything like my husband, he won't even notice if next time you wear the shirt tucked : )

I like it tucked but would wear a different belt. Something wider, and in a softer sade.

I like it both ways, Anne. I agree that a wider belt would work better for tucking. The blouse is lovely on you - a great colour. And hubs is just used to untucked looks.

I like both, but the ankle makes it a bit hard to tell. How low rise are those jeans? Tucking works better on me with mid or high rise pants, and I think we have similar body types - short legs, long rise.

Lovely outfit! I like it untucked as well as tucked. It took my DH a while to get used to me tucking things in, so I think Beth Ann hit the nail on the head. That teal color looks amazing on you!

I don't think you can go wrong either way. What a gorgeous blouse on you! I do agree that a wider belt would work a bit better in the tucked version but you look great in both.

Maybe hubby liked it untucked so he wouldn't have to be fending off the admiring looks of other men! : )

Tucked shows your beautiful figure but untucked works too. I have a slight preference for tucked.

I couldn't find my wide belt - I knew it would be better from comments on previous times

Cinnamon fern - yes I too have short legs and a long rise (AND a long waist) It goes just over my hips at the side - not low rise at all.

My first thought was: it looks great both ways. The tucked look is a little more polished and also more bodycon. Maybe he didn't want you attracting the attention of other males!

And seeing you in these pictures, it struck me that you have the face of an actor or a TV presenter.

Denise - what a lovely thing for me to read. Without my glasses I used to think I looked a bit like the actress Courtney Thorne-Smith in her Melrose place days!

DH likes waist definition so I don't think it is a bodycon issue- This belt is below my waist, on the hips. My own misgivings was that I felt it made my hip area look rather bulky.

I do lik it tucked myself, but I also like it untucked. It's a good length for both!
