Tubo dress, pinned for hemming

Hello, here is the Tubo dress styled in different ways. Would welcome your thoughts about whether the length I’ve pinned is okay and if you have thoughts about the different ways I’ve styled it. Before I take it to Nordstrom for hemming I’d like to have an idea of the length I’m aiming for. Thanks in advance for looking!

*Had to be very careful and use sharp pins due to the delicate fabric.

Pics 1&2: original length (I’m 5’3”, wearing 2” heels)

Pic 3: Pinned 2” higher than original hem, with Ecco sneakers

Pic 4: Pinned, with thin leggings and about 3/4 inch boots

Pic 5: Pinned with thin leggings and about 2” patent boots

Pic 6: Pinned with tights and 2” plus heeled booties, black blazer

Pic 7: Pinned with tights, 2” plus booties, scarf

I like it all ways shown, so not much help. For the winter you might try it longer and then decide if you want it hemmed shorter for the warmer months.

Thinking that all of the pinned versions are the same 2" shorter version.and they all look good. You're not losing the column effect by shortening it.

Definitely the pinned length! I think styling makes a big difference in how this dress photographs too.

Well, you know I love it! Excellent styling!! It looks terrific in all versions!
Visually, I like both lengths equally. But practically, the slightly shorter length is likely to be easier to wear and move around in.

Thanks to you all for your insights and kind comments. It's great to know that the dress can work either as-is or at a shorter, easier to manage length. And a GIANT thanks to Angie for making this dress one of her NAS top picks! I never would have spotted this dress on my own!

I think I like it at both lengths (though the different shoes make sussing out the details tricky!), so I am no help. It looks great on you and the color is beautiful. I think I would wear it with tall boots for fall/winter.
